  •  One of the reasons I am so keen upon us (0+ / 0-)

electing women to positions of power in this country is because they don't often possess that warrior gene we men have been saddled with.  I like that there are competing thoughts within governmental meetings where deadly military force is being meted out upon other humans.

The strength I'm looking for in a leader is the ability not just to go with that impulse to be the toughest sheriff in town but to stand up to the bullies and thugs that get a hardon when they see shrapnel flying and ripping through flesh and come up with alternative methods of dealing with problems if they exist.  Sometimes the use of force may be warranted but it can no longer be the first solution.

all seemed to possess the war gene.  I think it's a symptom of the first woman in a country to break that barrier to office; it's almost a necessity that they be militaristic.

      •  Damned shame. (0+ / 0-)

I'd be willing to be Barbara Boxer wouldn't have it.
