from beyond the prism of an Obama supporter. Despite being outspent in money, out organized, way behind in delegates for months, she's still managed to win primaries, by sometimes huges margins.

I know its hard to be objective, but her campaign has certainly been run much better in the last few months.

        1. Trading on the Clinton name
        1. Trading on her sex to get woman voters.
        1. Trading on her race to get the ignorant hillbilly vote.

        possibly

        1. All the Limbaugh dittoheads

paints a pretty broad brush of her support doesn't it? Isn't it just possible in some minute part of your imagination that some people actually support her for who she is as a person?

          Nah couldn't be.

          •  For who she is? (0+ / 0-)

No, for who they think she is. Yes, I've heard people on Air America talk about what a wonderful person she is. I don't know what they're smoking but it must be good.

Many, many more talk of her historic candidacy or how she is being picked on because she is a woman (reason #2 above). Quite a few talk about how great things were under Bill (Reason #1 above). #3 is obvious from the voting patterns and the campaign oratory.

In contrast, pro-Obama callers speak of his inspiration or how he was right on the war, or how he can bring us together. Yes, a few speak of his historic candidacy, which is trading on his race, but there are a lot more women in this country than black people. There are lot more black hating white people, even in our Party. West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania proved that.

You are certainly correct that Hillary has done surprisingly well in the last six weeks, especially considering that her campaign was near-broke. You will remember John Edwards also outperformed his money.

But you must also remember that much of Hillary's success these past few weeks is more a fluke of the primary calendar than a measure of how well her campaign was run. There have been a string of states (+PR) that were demographically tailor-made for Hillary. Or to be more precise, against Obama.

Obama '08. Good for the Party, Good for the Country.
