  •  here was I? (6+ / 0-)

I was standing outside the Xcel because it was totally sold out. We watched the speech, audio on a couple of transistor radios, in eerie silence, at the corner of W 7th and Kellogg.

Not like being inside, but still quite an experience. Now I'm watching on Cspan...

15,000 people outside - were you part of the throng?

God, it was the best moment ever. I'm so glad we got to witness it.

We got in line at 4:45pm. I had to walk 6 blocks past the entrance to get to the end of the line and people continued to stream on past until and including the 7pm gates open time.

Inside they blocked off half the auditorium until that was full, then opened the rest. We moved over when they did and got pretty good seats, high, but just to the right and in front of him.

It was hard not to watch the big TV's, because it was much easier to see him and it you missed his words (and that was easy to do with all the noise) you could read them. But it was so great to look down and see he and Michelle and know that tonight history was made and

      we have a GREAT CANDIDATE!
