    We simply have got to be more vigilant against these opponents to education. That is what they are. They've hijacked our schools, our school boards and the entire educational system with their anti-intellectual scare tactics.

    Let the children learn, dammit. That is why we send them to school. They need to explore all possibilities so they can compete with children in other countries. How is it that a so-called first-world society acts in the dark ages when it comes to education?

      workers than to do it here at home - where it might take real effort, investment, and it might intrude on the real curriculum - to make us good and uncritical consumers of whatever industry and the powers that be want to foist upon us.

      That's my cynical start for the day - best get some exercise first, I guess.
