  •  The odd thing is... (5+ / 0-)

Sadr has been marginalized as pro-Iran.

The odd thing is, Sadr is an Iraqi nationalist and is resisting Iranian influence.

More than any other Shi'ite, he would get alot of Sunni support.

I want a Democratic Party I can be proud of, not one that is just a bit better than the Republicans. Replace Reid and Pelosi, say NO to Hillary!

Iranian influence as to US occupation. He's for Shia-Sunni reconciliation and wants Iraq to remain unified.
He's been demonized by our MSM ("religious extremist", "thug") because he's opposed to the Oil Law that would in effect hand Iraqi oil over to Big Oil.

We're shocked by a naked nipple, but not by naked aggression.
