if we win the Kansas seat, nothing, nothing, is out of reach.

Senate races where we just have no chance this year. I'd put South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi-A, Alabama, and the two Wyoming races in that category. This isn't to say we shouldn't run hard in them, just that we shouldn't expect to win any of them.

Everything else, though, I'd say we have a shot, even if it is an incredibly long one.

That will force them to defend territory they considered safe.  And it should not be hard in a state like KS.

What would happen if Obama's 1.5 million donors started dropping a $10 or $20 here or there in some of these down ticket races?

We need a list of all the netroots favored candidates where this would make sense.

safe seats for both parties. Even in the most one-sided years, the losing party still keeps a few and sometimes even takes one or two. But if we can say that all but 7ish of the 35ish races are not Macaca-proof, then that's basically the same as saying nothing is out of reach. And if we can win Kansas this year, maybe we can win Alabama in 2010...
