Which is not to say that Russert is Hume - Hume is a complete asshole.  But Russert himself proved that his career and his D.C. insider prerogatives were more important than his obligation to us to report the news.  That doesn't make him a bad guy, but it made him a poor journalist.

Well no fucking shit, genius.  Do you think that people here aren't aware of the problems with his journalism skills and that the diarist is on to something?  The guy fucking died today and died young.  This is not about journalism.  This is about pissing on someones grave.

      Get a clue.

Most of the adults on this site, if they had nothing nice to say, would refrain from saying anything at all.

Because most of the adults on this site attended Kindergarten and still remember the important stuff they learned.

I must say this is an interesting read for me.

I don't really care too much about Russert's death, but I don't really want to trash the guy on the night he died. Any time someone dies it's tragic, but it's just not that important to me.

I have to say that I've found some of the stratospheric rhetoric about Russert to be a bit over the top, and this diary says some things that I am feeling about his death.

I also find many of the comments condemning the diarist to be over the top as well.

        It's a very interesting thread.

but if he died young, I think I could lay off him at least until the day he died was over.

Its not that Tim Russert was so great, its that the diarist (and you apparently) are completely devoid of any class.
