    even though US demand is down.  And don't forget - the dollar is now a junk currency and getting worse.

    Expect oil prices to continue to rise, even in the face of reduced US demand.

      Also I cited gas demand not oil.

      What I was trying to point out was that the current oil price surge does not necessarily correlate with demand as a primary factor.

      Other market factors are influencing it more than just world demand not that world demand isn't increasing and won't continue to increase.

      However, the world is all in the same boat as far as oil prices are concerned. Other countries are going to have to address consumption issues as well.
