    such as the 1923 San Pedro strike, constitutional rights are always getting trampled.
      I mean for God's sake, getting arrested for reading the Constitution in public?!? It's hard to believe that things are worse than that now.

     People forget that we are actually more free today than we were 70 years. We had a major civil rights movement. We had a feminist movement. We had various ethnic minority movements. And most importantly, we had a successful labor movement.
      All of those movements challenged oppression and beat it back. All of that effort gained us more civil liberties.

     It's only the last 20-30 years when people have gotten fat and happy, and actually expect the government to protect their rights, that those rights have been chipped away.
      No liberties have ever been gained in this country without struggle. The Baby Boomers, and GenX as well, has decided that it is too much trouble to struggle. And that is costing us.

    I suspect God of being a leftist intellectual
