What innthe word makes you believe Sebelius is still the frontrunner?

From what ive seen and heard , Sebelius is no longer the frontrunner.

There's no buzz lately for her while Edwards and Nunn's name has moved up the list.

I just dont see anyone seriously saying Sebelius has a good shot at the VP nomination.

The problem with sebelius is , she seem unable to help herself move up the list because she's not a good speaker and cant make a good impression whenever she's on TV.

    •  Obama seems to like her very much (2+ / 0-)

See, I agree that Sebelius is a terrible choice (especially over Edwards, Clark, Webb or even Nunn) but Obama does seem awfully close to her.  He might not be clear-headed about this and he might end up making a choice based on who he wants to work with as opposed to who would actually help him with voters.

The only reason she's even mentioned is because she's from Obama's mother's birth place.

While Obama may like her , i strongly believe Obama's adviserz would never allow him to make such a pick and would advize him to go in a different direction.

If you look beyond the Kansas connection , Sebelius really doesnt bring anything to the ticket..

-She's not a good speaker who could move "some" voters toward Obama..

Shew's not even the best wellrounder woman on the VP list...Napolitano and McCaskill are both better skilled  as speakers , charisma and personality.

-She's from a red state in which everyone expect to be called early for McCain on election night.

-She's not a national figure who could help elsewhere in the country.

In lastly , there's no doubt she's fallen off the top of the VP list.

There were huge buzz about her 2-3 months ago , and after watching her , the media came to the conclusion Obama would be stupid by choosing her.

I no longer hear her mentioned as a favorite..

The only thing that keeps her on the VP list is the fact that Obama mother was a kansan.

She and Obama are reportedly are very close, the campaign has sent her to swing states such as Ohio and Pennsylvania on his behalf, she is his most prominently featured supporter on YouTube, she was an early supporter, and Obama’s late mother was born and raised in Kansas; therefore, Obama has a sentimental reason to pick Sebelius.

Also, process of elimination indicates she's the most likely candidate:

-Biden, Clark, and Nunn can be placed down on the list because Obama has already said he believes his strongest area is foreign policy.
-Clinton, Edwards, and Gore can be moved down because Obama is running on a message of change, meaning he's likely looking for a fresher face.
      -Hagel is a Republican.
-Kaine and Napolitano would be replaced by Republicans.
-McCaskill herself said she would not be a wise choice. (Although personally, I think she'd be a great choice)
-Strickland and Warner have ruled themselves out.
-Webb has too much baggage to be taken seriously.

Who's left?  Bayh, Richardson, and Sebelius.  Of those three, Sebelius is the only candidate that would effectively enhance Obama's message.

      Prediction: Obama/Sebelius vs. McCain/Pawlenty.

you may not like what i will say here , but Sebelius just doesnt bring anything to the ticket.

The only reason she's even being considred is because Obama likes her , but because Obama needs so much help in a lot of place , i just cant fathom him taking candidate who:
1)Does not bring in her home state for Obama.
2)No foreign policy or national security experience.
        3)Not a good speaker , not charismatic.
4)Was not the best surrogate on TV for Obama.
5)Is definatly not the best woman VP candidate.

Im sorry to tell you this but , Sebelius weakness are just too immense for Obama to place her on the ticket...Any objective person would quickly be able to see why you just cant put her on the ticket.

And finally , Edwards is doing as good as Sebelius when they are both inserted into the ticket in Kansas , according to SUSA poll.

I think you're wrong and entirely off-base (I could refute you point by point, but I'm not in the mood), but if that's how you truly feel, go right on believing it.  More power to you.

          Prediction: Obama/Sebelius vs. McCain/Pawlenty.

          •  die-hard sebelius (0+ / 0-)

Only partisan-sebelius supporters thinks she's the best VP candidate for Obama.

Obama will be making a collasal mistake by  putting her on his ticket simply because he likes her , and as of right now , i just dont see any justifictaion on what else does she brings in with the excepption that Obama likes her.

If Obama wants a VP he really likes and would disregard any other criteria , then he should go with Tim Kaine.

Tim Kaine was the first governor who endorsed him while Sebelius only endorsed him after he won Iowa...I doubt she would have done so if Obama had lost Iowa.

So , if Obama wants someone he likes , go with Kaine..

While Kaine is not my first pick , at least , he's from a winneable state while Sebelius state is harder to get.

Sebelius's state is only worth 5EV while Virginia is worth 13.

It just doest make any sense to put sebelius on the ticket just because Obama likes her....Obama needs to go about this decision on a business kind of way...Sebelius does not help him win.

            •  Did Kathleen Sebelius slash your tires? (0+ / 0-)

I can understand feeling Sebelius is not the best candidate, but when you make statements like this...

...it's hard to take you seriously.

You may not like her, but if she were as terrible as you suggest, her name would not be as widely mentioned as it is.  Even General Wesley Clark has endorsed her to be Obama's vice-president.  Is he some sort of Sebelius partisan?

              Prediction: Obama/Sebelius vs. McCain/Pawlenty.
