    when you posted it. Rosemary, the religion editor of WaPo, and I occasionally carpooled to St. Stephens and Incarnation Church in the late 60s and early 70s. Jim Wallis was in town doing street work and founding Sojo.  DC was such an exciting city in those heady days.

      Did you ever have any contact with Dumbarton United Methodist Church?  I think that was also the heyday of that congregation's radical activism.  (I attended for a couple of years in the 90s, when I lived in the DC area.)

        Plenty of progressive Christians out there, just not many "media outlets."
        Wallis started his own -- Sojourners (originally called the Post-American).  Its great that it's still going on and that he's getting the word out.
