Joe Biden on CNN:  "Laying out the forensic evidence of Saddam's crimes will do us great good in the world."

HUH?  Except the fact that during a great deal of those crimes, we were helping him out!!!  How does that do us any good airing our dirty laundry in the world court of opinion?  Most Americans don't realize we were his accomplice for years and years -- you think Dubya and Karl want that getting out?

Geez, he and Specter need to be in the Congressional version of "Dumb and Dumber".

It's all about the base, baby....all about the base.

A word about Biden. I was in his presence for an extended time on two occasions during his unsuccessful run for the presidential nomination in 1988. Joe Biden is one of the dumbest men I have ever met. He knows next to nothing and can't think. He is an empty suit, a head of Senatorial hair, and a pleasant fellow on a personal level. Nothing more.

As a former legislative assistant on the Hill (though not to Biden), I second that assessment of Biden.

        Hear, hear, on Biden.

As to the 3 Dems trying to use the occasion for Dean-bashing, it's not exactly inspiring me to waste a trip to the polls should any of them become the nominee. It's not so surprising from Joe Blubberman. But as an initial supporter of Kerry, I keep wondering who sucked out his soul. But clearly, it's gone.
