    That was the last time a non-incumbent running against another non-incumbent rolled up a double-digit win.  1964, LBJ was the incumbent.  1972, Nixon was the incumbent.  1984, Reagan was the incumbent.  1988, Bush was the incumbent VP.  1996, Clinton was the incumbent, and there was a strong third party vote.  

    If Obama can win by that kind of margin, AND secure a 60 vote supermajority in the Senate, it will be a political paradigm shift larger than anything since Reagan in 1980.  If he did a good job in his first term, he could win a Reagan/LBJ-sized landslide re-election, and his VP would have a very good shot at winning in 2016.

    But let's get him elected first.
