needs to be the unfortunate Case History for religious kooks across the country to observe.  What happens when a culture abandons fact and science for myth and delusion.

It should only take about 5 years to prove the point.

Sadly, while the rest of the country will have the benefit of see how a state goes to hell in a handbasket if they were to continue this twisted, sick, and perverse love affair with vapor ... the victims will be children whose scars will last forever.

A lot of us think that happened a long time ago.

Anywhere west of the Mississippi and north of I-10 is not the real Louisiana or indicative of Cajun culture! It's mostly invaded by bible-belt fundies who infect the state ever so closely to my hometown.

I remember looking through the philosophy section in Barnes&Noble a few years back and some fella struck a rather quick conversation with me. "You read all this crap," he inquired, "is this some o 'dat witchcraft stuff?" I kindly replied to him saying that is of no business to him what I read or didn't read, and I was amazed that he thought Plato, Socrates and all the other intellectuals in that section were devil-worshipping hippies worthy of being burned at the stake.

It's what that small vignette felt like for me at least; casually browsing for some books to buy and some shit-stirrer can't leave well enough alone. He has to push his views all over your face for no reason at all and try to crucify you for having yours. I feel the highly evangelical people of these sorts just lack respect for mankind in general.
