You have to remember that now Keith IS one of us. He just posted a comment at 11:15 Central time. And I believe he's currently in the Eastern time zone which makes good ol' Keithy a Night Owl.

Welcome to the club, Mr. O!

    •  Most of Keith's show is taken directly from blogs (1+ / 0-)

take a look at crooksandliars, and you can guess what at least 3 of the 5 stories on countdown are gonna be.

With reading these blogs, its impossible to not speak on some of these issues.   Keith IS one of us.

      •  According to Randi Rhodes (0+ / 0-)

all of KO's stories come from her.

She cracks me up each time she says that.  She has admitted that she does not read blogs.  Most of the issues she brings up, I've read about in blogs a day or two earlier. Perhaps if she'd spend a little more time checking them out, her info would be more timely!

I love the research Randi does, but she is a bit full of herself.  Blogs on the other hand are a great source of info - especially DK - thanks for all your hard work Kossacks!

        •  Tell me about it. (0+ / 0-)

Once she even shouted out a hello to one of Keith's producers by name, explicitly implying that HE steals his ideas for Countdown from Randi.

It's like she thinks no one is covering any progressive stories other than herself.

    •  His show's not over till 9 PM Eastern (0+ / 0-)

so figure by the time he gets off the set, gets the makeup off and heads home it's close to 10 when he gets in the door -- possibly later if he stops for a late dinner or after work beverage on the way home. Then the time for him to brush his teeth, put on the PJs, catch the late news to see who the Yankees lost to that day (lol), and maybe peek in at Letterman to see if he's got a Top 10 list, and that puts it close to midnight. Then maybe an hour or so on the Internets to pick up story ideas for the next night's show.
