about this instead of bitching over how everybody to the left of Obama is suddenly a purity troll...

Has Obama said he wants to keep the green zone intact? Would this be possible without a massive troop presence in Iraq?

Apparently this is the first year Democrats have got more donations from arms manufacturers than Republicans. Is that true (I doubt she's lying) and what are we doing about it?

Klein's basic prescription is that we put Obama in a position where he can say (to the corporate types) that he has no choice but to accommodate some progressive demands. She's saying progressives should organize and make big demands.

Obama's whole platform is that he can be a good bridge-builder and compromiser. That can help us but not if we fall in lock step behind or put all our energies into getting him elected as if that's sufficient. We have to be organized and pushing for what we want regardless of what his positions are. Obama is going to be an effective president for progressives to the extent that we are organized and pursuing our goals (and in ways other than what we say to/about Obama).

As Kos said earlier, if the FISA stuff pisses you off, donate to ActBlue. This isn't about supporting Obama or not supporting him, that is only a small part of the struggle.

But facts are HARD! And there's MATH! And it's so much easier and more fun to argue straw men like whether Naomi is telling us to vote for McCain!
