  •  They're dumb alright (0+ / 0-)

The populace of the United States isn't intimidated, but frankly that's because, to paraphrase Joseph Heller, they're too dumb to be afraid.  A few random arrests of patently innocent people for nothing much in particular will turn them around, but by then it'll be too late.

Some future republican government will leak some doctored "evidence" to Fox "News" who will thoroughly demonize the innocent citizens. Hypothetically speaking, they might call the people "persons of interest". Maybe put up a doctored photo or two. The rest of the talking heads on TV and the DC beltway media stenographers will parrot it as they always do. The victims will spend years in a dark hole with no access to courts or counsel and the sheeple will rest peacefully at night comforted by the perception that their government is protecting them.
    Ignorance truly is bliss.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
