    the years is that the consequences of impeachment and conviction has been defined by scholars for the most part.  It functions like a felony.  Since we haven't actually convicted a president and only a couple of judges have been convicted on impeachment, it is hard to say what actually would happen.

    I know when I was researching the impeachment issue a couple of years ago I read several papers regarding the loss of all percs plus debarment from holding public office ever again.

      it needs to be enumerated in the Constitution.  After 200+ years, with little court guidance, it should be written in stone.  Warmest regards, Doc.
