I disagree with you strongly! How a man treats his wife is a very good indicator of what kind of person he is at his core. Ask your wife, mother, sister or daughter if they think this is a story or not. If you don't think this goes to the heart of who McCain is, then please step aside, read another diary, and let the folks who do understand spread the word.

like, we don't know if it involved mistreatment. I do get the point about hypocrisy. It's valid to bring that up, especially around the impeachment, which was apalling.

But I don't actually care about a president's sex life, unless it involves torture, or children or animals, I guess. I get it that women don't like it when men--their husbands--  sleep with younger women, and maybe they're right; maybe there are more personal individual reasons for why relationships end.

      I don't think I want a sexually frustrated president, or a sadist.

But 'adultery' is between consenting adults, and normal sexuality doesn't always fit into the prescribed form of monogamous nuclear marriage for life, even if you sign onto it thinking it does.

I don't really care about McCain's sex life, and no-- sleeping with another consenting adult, when you are still in a relationship with someone else, isn't that great but it isn't such a big deal either.

Most of the family rectitude we see in politicians is fake anyway. I wouldn't jump all over this.

'adultery' involves a third person...the spouse.
If his extra-marital-sex life is so normal, why then does he continue to 'hide it'??
