  •  He could still survive if he then turns (0+ / 0-)

around makes his outing into a cause about raising "awareness of gay issues". Even in AL it would probably work.

    •  Nah! But he could go to one of those camps (2+ / 0-)

ran by the religious right to cure gays, claim he has seen the light and is cured.   That might work, if he adds that gays are destroying the institution of marriage.

    •  Troy can't do that (2+ / 0-)

You don't know Troy King.  He's just incapable of backing down on anything.  Last summer he threw a temper tantrum over a District Attorney's testimony to an appellate court and removed the guy -- an experienced, respected prosecutor -- from the case in a very public way.  The Alabama District Attorneys Association issued a statement in support of the DA, who happened to be a Republican.  Troy issued a stronger condemnation.  The DAs association held a press conference, with most of the members present, and issued a stronger statement, mentioning that Troy Boy had never stood before a jury and argued a death penalty case.  Troy held a press conference with a few family members.  And on and on.  If I recall correctly, the Gov. finally had to intervene to get him to at least shut up.

I don't see Troy ever publicly admitting any wrongdoing, inappropriate behavior or mistake of any sort.

      •  He could admit to the behavior without admitting (0+ / 0-)

that it was wrong.   When he does it, you see,
