    I hear you, agree with you, and appreciate everything you are saying... but I just have to say... (overuse of ellipses)  some Blue Dogs have a very diverse staff, quite liberal personal views on issues of choice, marriage/benefit equality, etc. ... but they represent people who DON'T.  In that case, do we do better to curse the semi-enlightened representative who will not return if he/she votes a 100% progressive line, or do we do better to concentrate our efforts on a wide appeal to a broader electorate?  (Or even certain districts.)  To paraphrase a cliche: "if you think he/she is bad, you should see his/her constituents!"
