    and the corrupt government is dealing and facilitating the whole thing with no punishment.

    This is one of the biggest reasons to decriminalize drugs. The low level users and dealers have their lives ruined with harsh sentences, but the gov gets away with it.

      I don't use any drugs aside from occasional beer or two (funny how the drug war zealots don't consider alcohol a drug). Inhaled in college but that's about it.

      Keeping drugs illegal has one consequence. It keeps the price high and makes growing and distributing them a highly profitable enterprise. There are studies that say decriminalizing drugs would not significantly change the usage population. And drug funded terrorist groups would have to find another source of income.
