    Interestingly, I would say it was both the easiest and the hardest to achieve.  It was the hardest to achieve because at that time it was difficult to just get the sides to talk to each other.  It was the easiest to achieve because the Sinai represents miles upon miles of demilitarized desert that provides a buffer between the two countries.  Today's challenges are much greater because Syria and the Palestinians live in direct proximity to the Israelis and there isn't the possibility of the "Sinai buffer."  Furthermore, the buffer isn't as effective becuase of the constant use of medium range missiles.
