  •  This is great news that his family... (11+ / 0-)

...are pitching in to help educate us all about where Barack Obama comes from.

Regarding his great uncle's thoughts on the film Schindlers List, and it's portrayal of the concentration camp victims, please search out and watch an old movie called Nuit et Brouillard (Night and Fog) by Alain Resnais. It is a harrowing documentary, only 30 minutes, about what was found after the war was over and the camps were liberated.

Watch it to understand Barack's uncle's opinion of the Hollywood movie. Watch it to understand how heart-breakingly banal evil can be. Watch it to remind yourself exactly what we humans are capable of if corrupt power is left publicly unchecked.

    Again: Nuit et Brouillard

Netflix carries it. And yes, the images in it are stunning. It was released in 1955 and there is something still so recent, so alive (for lack of better words) about Auschwitz...puts the hair up on the back of your neck.
