Code Pink and the Unification Church are a perfect match.

Kind of like you and this diary.

Anyone who fails to see the historical parallels between Blackwater & the Nazi SS, or the DHS & the Gestapo, needs a serious reality check.

as good a match as Joe Lieberman and bugscuffle?  Oh that wouldn't be fair, Joe Lieberman doesn't automatically buyinto every extreme right-wing "libertarian" giveaway to the rich.

    •  You should reconsider, bugscuffle. (6+ / 0-)

You may view Code Pink as rash or extreme or goofy, but they aren't a coercive cult that takes all of your money and possessions and cuts you off from your family and loved ones, reinforces its brainwashing of you through weekend and weekly retreats, constant 24/7 supervision so that you are never alone, feeds you sugary diets low in brain stimulating foods that keep you spacey, keeps you having systematic sleep deprivation and has you living in their quarters, with every personal decision you make about your life monitored, approved, vetoed, and controlled by the cult. That's what happens with the Moonies, and it's not a joke, it's a serious business, they are the most dangerous and harmful cult out there.

Code Pink by contrast is a voluntary group uncoerced and just doing what they want to do and trying to have fun at it. They may tick people off and be counterproductive at times, but they do not control their people like the Moonies.

So I really think you should retract your semi joking comment. I know you mean well, but in this case, you went a bit overboard on the rhetorical quip.

you'd get along well with the Vichy.
      But that's just me,

I'd rather be unhappy with President Obama than with President McCain.
