Now, why not help us fund the 50 state strategy?  That's the best chance we have of winning this thing.

Why don't you write a real comment.

      •  Welcome to the Obama Police. (3+ / 0-)

Any criticism is duly derided, and the poster/diarist is challenged with "How many hours are YOU spending on the phone banks?" questions.

You are absolutely right. The tactic of smearing a black Dem candidate with sleazy blondes worked against Harold Ford, and it could work against Obama. Perception is 90% of the game, and the media shapes perception. I firmly believe that the Paris/Britney ads were aimed at two groups: the jingoistic bastards that make up the hard-right Republican base ("Lookit that n****r up against them purty blondes!") and the media. Why the media? To get every pundit on the airwaves talking about Obama in conjunction with the ad and the blondes. McCain can't win this on the issues, so he's going to mount sleazy personal attacks and innuendo. Obama can't refute them by tsk-tsking them.

While I don't think Obama's campaign is as clueless and flailing as Kerry's, but it has to ward against complacency. These negative attacks from McCain can work.

I just dont understand it that everytime someone makes a valid point about the Obama campaign , this person has to be labeled a 'conern troll".

Ive been on the Obama camp since day One...I remember fighting off Edwards supporters when they used to attack Obama as being to bi-partisan minded.

People are acting as if Obama is jesus and doesnt make any mistake...He's clearly making the huge mistake of not taking McCain attack ads seriously.

He's not even trying to define McCain and allowing them to do all the defining.

I've been jumping up and down screaming this same case for two days now....

Obama is about to get derailed and is going to lose if he doesn't snap out of it and come out swinging....

They are trying to drown him in negative press then everyone will be off mentally to the Olympics.

MSNBC will litterally be on vacation and he will not have anyone on the teevee to balance the Republican attack machine.  Do you think he can get a positive word on CNN or Faux News for the two weeks the Olympics are on.

John McCain said what?! Once again he has proven to be out of touch, lacks sound judgement and is unfit to be President.
