    if you check McCain lists of advisers, they come from schools of highest quality. If I remember correctly, the fellow named Gramm was actually Dean of Economics at some prestigious school.

    kindergarten to high school? I think you exaggerate it a bit. Independent thinking is mostly developed at college level.

    But you are absolutely right that education is the most important thing to a nation in a long run because that is what future generations are based on. And by education, I mean good education in every thing (laws, politics, science, art, etc..)

      That's the idea. Yes, it is difficult to hold authority over children while teaching them to question authority, but they must be taught early and often how to do all these things I mention, using engaging strategies like the Socratic Method.

      I mean, seriously, when you were in college, how many times would a professor say "Ok, well, we're out of time, so I suggest you do this yourself until you understand it." How many students actually do that? I'm a fairly analytical thinker and even I wouldn't very often.

      Put "Island" by Aldous Huxley on your reading list; he articulates the point much better than I ever could.
