I don't see how we risk VA by putting the Clintons on the ticket.  And I really don't see how there won't be an energized GOP base in the end; we can't count on them not caring.

Although I do expect them to be depressed about McCain, I'm not counting on it. Obama is just not as polarizing as Hillary Clinton. He has a "teflon" quality that's been demonstrated again and again. Hillary hate, however, is alive and well, although the right did a good job masking it during the primaries because they desperately wanted her to be the nominee. Why? Because they knew they could beat her.

I don't know who Obama picks but "first do no harm."
Don't create another target for the right.  We want this campaign to be about issues, not personalities.  They're trying to make election about Obama, but they're not succeeding. We want to make the election about Bush and his record.  Throw another personality in the mix and that message gets eclipsed.

      Who was Bush_Horror2004, anyway?

... his unfavorables are above 40%.  And the Clintons were never popular in Old Dominion.  VA gave George Allen and Jim Gilmore their claim to fame during the Clinton presidency, and almost sent Ollie North to the Senate during that time, too.
