    (according to the article) came after the girl reported the incident to a sibling, who then told the father who then got Child Protective involved. It is true that the father alleges the mother admitted witnessing it, but we don't have a confessional statement from the mother herself. If there is "misinformation" about the event it would have to come from the girl; and between the sibling, the dad, the police and child protective workers who have spoken with her, that's unlikely.

      That is simply untrue.  The father is ALLEGING this.  He does NOT have to be able to prove it.  There may be NO evidence for this whatsoever.  Accusations of child abuse are extremely common in child custody cases.  They should not be repeated without evidence.

      Note, please, that there is no evidence that the police indicted the mother.  In many states, it is a crime for a parent not to report the abuse of their children.
