    Certainly sounds rabid.  We are having a problem with that here right now.  When the raccoon is that docile - not good.

    I should have tried to find the link to that bunny story.  It was in the Colorado Springs Gazette and my husband and I laughed till we nearly cried.  Luckily there were no calls to track down the bear, except from the crazy rabit owner.

      there was nothing anyone could do.  He actually said: "Just leave it be, it will wander back into the woods to die, if that's what it needs to do."!!!!

      Now, I'm all for nature taking it's course...USUALLY. But when you have an animal that very likely has rabies, you don't let it wander back into the woods to die, or infect other animals, or bite your cat, or possibly give birth to more rabid raccoons if it were pregnant, or die and let stray dogs eat the meat.... etc. etc... What an idiot!
