When Bill Clinton and Mark Penn were arguing for Hillary to take her case to the convention, Wolfson was one of those in her inner circle arguing against that.  He's a loyal Democrat.

Gives the PUMA crowd some fresh meat (ie. Edwards--it's now officially all his fault) to vent all of their hate towards.

Private conversations might matter, but what is more important is what the public sees.  Through his words, he sends credibility to the Obama smears about inexperiences, lack of judgment, lack of substance because they originated his camp.  And still today he gives some Democrats (I am not referring to the 3 or 4 who watch Fox News) who feel uneasy about Obama reassurance that maybe they are correct in withholding support from Obama.

What good is a good Democrat(especially a non-elected one) if he is only good when talking to like-minded folks, then goes and gives ammunition for the other side to use?
