    ...just not the way that Wolfson portrays it. Clinton's strategy was to wrap the whole thing up early. Edwards presence helped to keep the process going a bit longer, giving Barack a chance to make his case to the American people (and as David Gergen says "the more people get to know [Barack Obama] the more they like him"). Also the dynamics of a three person race are different from a two person one (as we saw in 2004, when Kerry benefitted from the attacks on Dean). Would we rather have a process that simply rewarded name recognition? Barack is a far better campaigner, but it was still very tough for him to beat out Clinton. You say he won Super Tuesday, but had Florida voted that day, I expect the media would have called it a crushing victory for Clinton.

    Love that "power of the purse!" It looks so nice up there on the mantle (and not the table) next to the "subpoena power."
