  •  a disaster for Edwards would make it a level field (none)
    again and stop Bush's slide. Edwards didn't allow it. That's the media story, like it or not.

      I don't think Edwards was a clear winner or loser. I know the MSNBC commentators thought Cheney was the winner because he drew more blood, but Cheney is clearly the more difficult of the Bush/Cheney duo to debate. So I think Edwards did a fantastic job of keeping pace with him, thwarting him where possible, and refuting his charges every step of the way. In that sense, I think Edwards was fantastic. But he didn't "win" the debate as clearly as Kerry won on Thursday.

      I'm glad to see the spinmeisters didn't just watch MSNBC to decide how to call this, because nearly everyone else on TV thought it was a draw.

        tell him that he was off compared to everyone else, and that he's entitled to his opinion but that he should acknowledge it as such.
