I don't care what the number is.

The question is who lit the fire, and the answer is U.S. ally Georgia.

Georgia did not have to go into areas that have expressly made it clear they do not want to be ruled by Georgia and kill people in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

When the Ohio National Guard used its weapons, in 1970, at Kent State, killing four and injuring nine, it is to this day called a "massacre."

When city and Mississippi State cops shot and killed two students on the same day in May 1970 at Jackson State, an historically black school, it was reported only slightly in the media and remembered only slightly in the public memory.

When in 1969, the Mexican government killed more than 600 students in Mexico City, their bodies were scooped up and they disappeared, and this is a massacre that is rarely talked about.

When, in 1989, China shot and injured an unknown number of civilians in Tiananmen Square, the world media never let it be forgotten.

The neocons in the White House can blabber all they want -- they have no credibility and no moral standing. Why should anyone listen to them?

Russia is also indiscriminately killing civilians and taking a page from the Israeli and Georgia books of war, in bombing apartment houses.

And there is no one, except average people like us, to tell them all to stop it now.

War is terrible. Choosing one combatant over another is insanity.
