    curriculum. I don't know what they did in the lower school, but in the upper school it was seventh grade, old testament history; eighth grade, new testament history; ninth grade, old testament; tenth grade, new testament; eleventh grade, comparative religions; and in twelfth grade, when the headmistress thought we were up to it, Christian dogmatics. As she said when she introduced that class, "We are not here to find out what you believe. You are here to find out what we believe." She treated it as an academic subject, and the Jewish kids were often near the top of the class.
