    ... young evangelical types.  They've moved much more to poverty, climate change and other social issues compared to their elders.  New Orleans is an important reminder of that new direction.

    That religion forum the other night?  I caught that pastor on Larry King last night.  The questions he "didn't get to" were all those social ones.  He mostly did the old-line "red meat" hot button issues.  McCain never had to get put on the spot about his record regarding the poor, health care, and the like.  A kind of below-the-radar bias built into that event.

    John McCain voted against health care for kids.

      just coincidentally? I just do not trust some of those high profile pastors so I may be too suspicious. But Warren just glowed about McCain and praised him.
