    •  No my contention has always been... (0+ / 0-)

that they would be equivalently strong candidates with different yet complimentary strengths and weaknesses in terms of demographics, geographics and experience/policy expertise...and that they would be polling similar numbers right now although Obama was polling much better numbers during the primary than Hillary.

So what does that mean...they need each other...

      •  Baloney. (0+ / 0-)

How does "equivalency" translate into "they need each other?"

There are plenty of alternative VP picks who can help Obama among certain constituencies.

equivalently by itself is not a reason...complimentary does mean a lot...

complimentary strengths that Hillary brings to a potential ticket...listen I will support Obama if he picks Mickey Mouse for VP...I am just saying...and this has always been my prediction...that the strongest ticket is together...not separate...but I am sure that Obama will do the right thing and we will all be happy with his VP choice whoever it is...(look at my tag line)...Peace...Go Democrats!!!

          •  And I disagree. (0+ / 0-)

Hillary Clinton brings more distractions and more targets than any other possible VP. I think her downsides far outweigh her upsides.

Clinton as VP would reinvigorate Republican fundraising in a year where there is not much enthusiasm for McCain.

            •  And this is where we disagree... (0+ / 0-)

Clinton as VP would reinvigorate Republican fundraising in a year where there is not much enthusiasm for McCain.

Enthusiasm is building for McBush without Hillary just on the RW fears of an Obama presidency and McBush's flip-flop to the right on a whole lot of issues...he is slowly growing on the RW base and unless he totally screws up that will continue regardless of Hillary...at this point...the RW is just as scared/unhappy with an Obama presidency as they are with a Hillary presidency so putting her in as VP (as unlikely as that is a possibility) would not substantially change that dynamic...

But as I said...I will be happy with whoever he picks...Hillary is not even my 1st choice...Bill Richardson is and the Brian Schweitzer and 3rd is Hillary...because of the negatives that you so aptly state...but she is on "anybody's short list" as Barack Obama so aptly put it...
