"the most vetted candidate in history"?  If that is true, Obama didn't need to vet her.  And it would be mightly difficult to run on the ticket with a candidate whose consort who, just this past week, is praising the energy policy of the other side.

    •  Not only that... (0+ / 0-)

it would have been extremely disingenuous for Obama to have Hillary vetted, when he knew he had no intention of seriously considering her as a running mate.

    •  "Being vetted" would mean that Bill's... (0+ / 0-)

..Presidential Library donors list would have had to be made available.  No way the Clintons were ever going to let that happen.

...and that would have been their choice - to take HRC out of the 'running'.  Very different from quite publicly not being considered at all.

You guys just will not get it.  It's about winning, not winning and making people eat shit at the same time.  That kind of crap is exactly the sort of thing the Rethugs will use to jujitsu us.

(Have none of you noticed how they're attempting the use the coincidence of Obama's text message coming out at 3 AM, spinning it as a delibrate 'fuck off' to Clinton's infamous 3AM phone call ad?)

    •  Really? (0+ / 0-)
      1. Clinton was referring to what other's had been able to find without her help, and what she was legally obligated to disclose.  That's very different from the 'vetting' where one is an active participant into digging into one's own background.
      1. As opposed to, running with a VP who, less than six months ago, went after Obama specifically for being too inexperienced to be president?  You don't think Joe's hits on Obama earlier this year are gonna show up in the Rovian campaign commercials.

      Really?
