Again, there is a few examples of President using their military background, but I think these examples seem current for the masses.

    Bush and Kerry:

Your points are some what well founded, but To say Senator McCain uses his POW status to answer every point. well just think about the realities of what everyone here is claiming.

The fight is not about POW, it is about the issues and facts, We have a campaign to win, not a nailing of McCain on the cross.

It's true that this race isn't about "POW". However, if we can expose McCain's logical fallacies to the nation, we can help our own cause. It would be nice to run a campaign where we don't have to attack our opponents, but that won't help if we don't win.

There are thousands of POWs that are on the streets, people who have been through much more than McCain. They don't feel that their experience entitles them to public office, because it doesn't entitle them.

To make matters worse, McCain wants to keep these homeless veterans from ever receiving assistance. Is the "sanctity" of the term "POW" more valuable than real assistance to these individuals?

They are equal in the sadness and realities of the failings of our government and people to rise up really make a difference to support and help them in their times of need and support.

We as a nations are spoiled to the conviences our lives, we deplore war, yet we do noting to make sure it's a legal war, then when the administration and the congress and media grow tired of the war, it rather hope and wish it just goes away.

Than what is left, well we can go over the shame list and point fingers every which way we want.

But what of our men and women who served and loss their lives? There is a great repeated neglect the American Government, congress, and people do once they want to put away their toy soldiers.

Well, we can only pray the new administration will do better, our soldiers are our best Citizens, we owe them much more.

"The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war."
