but I am not sure that is not my cynical self speaking.  What Rove has counted on all these years is that the truth is not important...that all that matters is perceptions.  That might be good politics but I don't think we can build a stable and just society on that premise.  Somewhere, somebody has to stand up and say "Enough!"  Enough of ignorning the truth.  The Bible says that the truth, not perceptions, shall set us free!
Now, I know that the Obama campaign does not want to get within 50 miles of any questioning of McCain's versions of events but the DK is not the Obama campaign.  The RNC did not come up with the Clinton scandal until the Drudge Report gave it legs.  We, in the blogosphere, need to do with the TRUTH about McCain, IN HIS OWN WORDS, what Drudge did with the events surrounding Clinton's scandal.
Some people will be repelled at that thought, that I am suggesting we jump right in the pig sty with the Rovian crowd. I'm sorry, but you don't fight a war from an armchair. It is not written somewhere that we get to pick the arena where we have to fight.
Think with me for a minute...let's assume we just help McCain to rewrite his history by sitting quietly by while he distorts his history and he gets elected.  What do we say to the women who are denied the right to control their bodies after the SCOTUS reverses Row v. Wade and to our military when we invade Iran?  How will we expain to them that we took the virtuous course of action?
There is a saying that all it take for evil to succeed is for the virtuous of remain silent.  Is this such a time?  I think it is!

He spent his entire show rewriting our (progressives) history for us. He said that any reporter who even reads the Daily Kos shouldn't be read because of all  the foul things we were circulating about Caribou Barbie.

ThinkProgress proves that we don't have to make anything up about her to prove that she reflect poorly on McCain's judgment.
