My apologies for not being able to keep up with this story over the weekend, so if my comments have been discussed elsewhere in the many diaries etc. on Sinclair, just disregard this.

Wouldn't contacting the networks in advance of the preemptions of their programming have some effect on Sinclair. If you call the network and loudly complain about not being able to see that rerun of Hope and Faith or that episode of Law and Order: Special Criminal Intent Victims Unit at their regular time, wouldn't the network have to sit up and take notice and make their displeasure known to Sinclair. The networks and station owners are in a co-dependant relationship. If Sinclair stops being a reliable outlet for the networks (and they already showed that they are with the Nightline incident) then the networks  might look elsewhere. Sure Sinclair has a valuable commodity with the local stations, but they also want a good relationship with a high profile network. It's not good for their bottom line if CBS drops them and they get stuck with UPN.

    •  This pressure point shouldn't be ignored. (none)
ABC, WB, UPN and the rest should be contacted as well.  Their viewership in Sinclair's locales is being told that THEY identify with this agenda.

It's time for the Christian Right to meet the right Christians.
