    This diary mentioned a Supreme Court ruling, but without a name I can't look it up and find out exactly what precedent was set.

    Those of us who are working to register college students need to know exactly what is legal and what is not.  We need information a lot more than rhetoric at this point in the campaign.

      the rules seem to be interpreted by each county, thus the vague diary here.  that's why virginia's governor needs to get to work to clarify this situation (but he's going up against a repub legislature who has opted, conveniently, not to do a damn thing about this load of BS).

      according to meteor blades comment in this diary, The College Vote Initiative might be a good place to start looking into more clarity.

      maybe i'll do a follow-up diary with more research but hopefully MB will run with this since he's a front pager...
