      Both have written extensively on the subject.  

      Assemblies of God is kind of like a Christian version of the Moonies or Scientologists.   Very cultish, very authoritarian, wants to take over government by stealth, and thus very very dangerous.  

      Here's the problem.  We inherently want to say that someone's religion isn't important when they're running for office.  But then all these extremists use religion as camouflage for authoritarian politics and stealth tactics and other stuff that we really should object to wherever & whenever we see it.  

      So in effect we really do have to look closely when a candidate "comes out of nowhere" to run for a significant position, and has the backing of religious extremists.  

      AOG is not your grandfather's and grandmother's Christianity, or even conventional Evangelical Christianity, or even conventional "conservative" religion.  AOG is, to put it bluntly, a dangerous cult.   And it is now an election and a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
