    herd?

I'm suggesting that you distinguish between the "It's hopeless, we're Going to Lose!" diaries and the "Is This the Best Approach?" diaries. There's a huge difference.

When the team huddles, it's not a bad idea if one player points out that the QB's strategy is failing. And if that perception is incorrect, the QB can counter without getting personal.

    •  But Barack isn't a kossak (0+ / 0-)

He's the quarterback right?  But he's not in our huddle.  Your analogy doesn't quite get there.

It's one thing if we're talking about the grassroots.  It's one thing if we're talking about what WE'RE doing to help the campaign.  But the point is, to think that what argument we hammer out here is going to get Axelrod and Barack to switch campaign tactics at this stage of the game is embarrassing.  It's like the Judean People's Front arguing with the People's Front of Judea in The Life of Brian.

      •  I'm not in conversation with Barack. Are you? (2+ / 0-)

We are in conversation with each other, the community.

When I see someone throw out an interesting comment about the campaign strategy, actions or lack thereof and rec it, I'm simply responding to that comment (or not).

If folks here actually think their audience is Barack, then this entire experiment is FUBAR.

        •  Yeah, that's my point (0+ / 0-)

What people are reacting to is the tendency of a large handful of posters to spend their time criticizing the campaign itself, not the grassroots, but the professional campaign.  As though that's the responsible way to effect change here.  They will address it directly to Obama sometimes fer chrissakes.  Armchair quarterbacking.  Half of it is people complaining about how they want Obama to say this or that the day after he's already done it.

I've gotten hammered on this site when I see things differently than majority opinion.  It's a pain in the ass when people are kneejerk sometimes.  But I've never seen it as having my free speech rights infringed.

as a concern troll myself, that I know of.

I was speaking up for those who seem, IMHO, to be the target of some pretty harsh, unfair, unwarranted attacks.
