  •  Bad idea (0+ / 0-)

he keeps hammering that government is too big, and now we are supposed to create ANOTHER agency?  We have the ability to enforce regulation within the agencies we already have in place, but what we do not have, due to the GOP with the support of McCain is REGULATION

This is a GREAT talking point for us, because McCain once again is ignoring that legislation that regulates these businesses is the needed action, we should not be talking about bloating the government with yet another agency that will allow presidents to appoint political hacks.

And the fact still remains that McCain wants people to think Obama will raise their taxes, when in fact McCain will give back to the wealthy yet again, following Bush's lead  which has done nothing to help the middle class.

    •  But the truth is, we do need a agency that can (0+ / 0-)

buy up the bad investments ... it doesn't seem like there are many buyers out there and if the U.S. govenment is going to buy AIG, the probably will buy others.

At least McCain is putting forth a plan - any plan - Obama needs to put a plan out there, a better plan. He doesn't want to be perceived to be not leading on this.

He ran his two minute ad about the economy - i didn't see it, maybe he needs to make this his stump speech today - and role out his plan to solve the immediate financial crisis.
