    but let me begin with some questions.

    Do you believe that all opposition to nuclear power is based on emotion and irrationality?

    RAoR is advancing a standard argument used by many proponents of nuclear power - the argument that concerns about radioactive contamination of our environment and exposure to ionizing radiation are invalid, reactionary, emotional and irratioanal.

    I'm sorry if you don't see that argument as dismissive.  I disagree.

    For some solid, rational information about the hazards and dangers associated with nuclear power, I suggest that you refer to the Union of Concerned Scientists and Beyond Nuclear for starters.

        that most opposition to nuclear power is due to an analysis of cost/benefit ratios that I really, honestly, don't understand.

        When I do the risk/reward math, it seems to me that nuclear is a no-brainer. Clearly, you disagree- I'm hoping you can lay out your interpretation.
