    Used her 'stuff' to rise to an administrative position but failed once she got there.

    It was a shame.  She was a decent person and well intentioned.

    Several of us worked hard to help her succeed, but she managed to make one bad decision after another.

    A lot of the blame has to go to the men who moved her up the chain based on her non-management 'skills'.

      Promoting people to positions beyond their current skill levels only hurts them in the long run, and may even prevent them from reaching the level of skill they are capable of achieving by denying them the opportunity to become the person they need to be for the job they want.

      I don't see Palin ever developing into a credible candidate for President, though.  I think even her promotion to the governor's office was premature.

        She failed as a small...,er, tiny town mayor.  Two terms and she didn't rise to that position.
