    because it's a good one, but I can't agree with "letting them own their own failures," if by that you mean letting this whole thing collapse. All of our life's savings are invested somewhere in this mess (either in CD's, money markets, or mutual funds). If they go down, we go down too, don't we?

      I mean:

      assigning responsibility

      and sending the perpetrators to jail!

      I agree:

      that a Bailout solution of some sort IS needed
      due the wide-reaching ramifications of the problem,

      even though the current crisis-driven solution process
      is NOT likely to find either a long-lasting comprehensive solution

      Nor Accountability!

      Congress will "punt" on Accountability
      once again.
