is simply fantastic. Solidifies the idea that Obama fared better in the debate than McCain did.
I think McCain will come to regret that he never looked at Obama during the debate.

      Another Democrat against McCain

to say that. We can say mcCain's bizarre suspension stunt failed.

(and its extraordinary enough that all four would move in parallel) is a substantial slide for Mc from the point (wed) when the Drama began.  The two new ones released so far today (R2K and Ras) certainly indicate no UPTICK for McCain from the debate -- the interesting question is whether it will slow or accelerate his slide.  But I think it's hugely significant that we saw such a broadly measurable rejection of the bailout-debate-hostage antics themselves, even before Fri night.  That's mud that Johny flung on himself, and it will stick.  In fact I would suggest that it already screwed him in the MSM framing of the debate outcome, and (even aside from that framing) perhaps also with some slice of uncommitteds who were now REALLY looking for a reason to trust Obama.

And again, totally self-inflicted.  Go John!

lying to the press and claimimng it's okay to do so.

            Another self-inflicted wound.

no question they've emptied a whole magazine into their own feet starting with the Palin pick.  And the effect has certainly been cumulative.  In that light its worth noting some differences between wounds: lying to the press, continuing with the lie and declaring that you don't care about "small facts" is an overt FU to the media; the Bailout Follies last week were merely ridiculous in a way that the media COULD have let slide in a different environment.  But now they were quite ready to call bullshit.  Is there ANY way that John (and Sarah?) get any credibility back in the next month?
