    years ago. The tty back then was a 300 baud transmission rate as I recall, maybe 200, giga-slow by today's internet or even phone modem standards.

    So they used a lot of abbreviations very much like today's text messaging.

    I'd think that like audio books for the blind, the march of mainstream market technology would have replaced all this old infrastructure by now.

    But hey, back to the political point, reaching out to this community is a great idea. Kudos!
